Lake Township Chamber of Commerce winners announced!



 The 2025 Lake Township Chamber of Commerce award winners were recently announced, and 3 winners for this year are Malone alumni! They are:


















Kristina Kindler '93 '02 - Educator of the Year


Kristina is a double graduate of Malone, and has spent 3 decades teaching at schools in Stark County, including Heritage Christian School and Lake Center Christian. Kristina's classroom is marked by creativity and growth through several supportive strategies she incorporates for her students. She is deeply committed to her faith, and blends her faith into her teaching at Lake Center. Known for her joyful spirit and dedication, she exemplifies the mission of Christian education both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations to Kristina on this amazing honor! Christian Ramsburg '12 - Outstanding Young Professional of the Year


Christian graduated from Malone and went on to work for major shale formations in the gas & oil industry. Christian is now the owner of Hartville Elevator Co. He has completed significant upgrades to the facility since taking over as owner and launched major expansion projects, such as a warehouse addition, improvements to grain storage and handling systems, and selling professional lawn care products. Christian is deeply committed to supporting his local community, whether it be through service or providing resources. Congratulations to Christian on this recognition! Norman (Norm) Wengerd '03 - Legacy Award 


Norm has created an outstanding career serving the community in the health & human services sector. Norm has been the CEO of Gentlebrook for almost 2 decades. Through his diverse and valuable experience, Norm has helped Gentlebrook to experience tremendous growth during his time with the company. He also led the development of community-focused initiatives, including the transformation of the former Hartville Hardware building into a hub housing the Hartville Thrift Shoppe & The Front Porch Café. Norm is a true inspiration to the community, and in his spare time enjoys rigorous physical challenges, such as cycling trips that are thousands of miles in length. Connected Since 1975

Since graduation in 1975, these Malone alumnae have kept in touch and gathered regularly to reminisce and catch up. Sara (Fleming) Bender, Lori (Linerode) Dickerhoof, Cindy (Allen) Groetz, Brenda (Frederick) Hostetler, Gloria (Schneider) Jasperse, Carol (Reinhold) Smith, and Sandy (Kuhn) Vaughn met for a Thanksgiving brunch and spent a spring weekend in Columbiana, Ohio, during the past year.
