Lyla Jo Laino

A daughter. Lyla Jo, was born to Brittany (Berry) and Tim Laino, both '08 graduates, on April 1, 2014. Brittany graduated with her Masters in School Counseling from the University of Akron in December, 2013, and will be heading into her seventh year as an Intervention Specialist for Barberton City Schools at the middle school level (7th grade). Tim is currently a Senior Desktop Support Technician with MCPC. Lyla is also the granddaughter of Pat Berry '07, the 2009 Malone Management Program Alumnus of the Year.

Tyler '11 and Anne (Bennington) Schrock '11

Tyler ’11 and Anne (Bennington) Schrock ’11 are doing a year of voluntary service through Door:Denver.  Both will be working at nonprofits/social justice organizations and living in an intentional living community.

Corrine (Marmon) Buchanan '71

Corrine (Marmon) Buchanan '71 retired from teaching after 43 years. She writes, " Thanks Malone for my Education degree. I enjoyed every year of my teaching career." Corrine lives in Paola, Kansas and plans to do volunteer work.

Heather Ineman '13 and Julian Law '13

Julian Law '13 and Heather Ineman '13 on June 22, 2013. Julian is a youth pastor at Christ United Methodist Church of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Heather is a nurse at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown working in a long term care unit with patients who have had car accidents, strokes, cardiovascular events, or other physical disabilities. The couple lives in Souderton, Pennsylvania.

Carolyn Leigh Deckerd

A daughter, Carolyn Leigh, on June 14, 2014, to Natalie and Scott Deckerd ’13.  The family lives in Alliance.

Rosemary Helen Inks

A daughter, Rosemary Helen, on March 6, 2014, to Joshua and Laura (Hunter) Inks ’05.  The family lives in Rome.

Stella Marie Savage

A daughter, Stella Marie, on January 9, 2014, to Kara and Rusty Savage ’02.  She joins brother, Henry.  Rusty is lead pastor at Winona Friends Church.  The family lives in Salem.

 

Davison John Masters

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          A son, Davison John, on February 25, 2014, to David and Jennifer (Adams) Masters ’06.  Jennifer is a concert and special events manager for The Cleveland Orchestra.  The family lives in Cleveland.

Ashley Yocum '07 and Jarrod Ferwerda '09

Ashley Yocum to Jarrod Ferwerda on June 15 2013. The couple now lives in Ludington, Michigan where they own a party rental business. Jarrod is the business manager and Ashly is the wedding and event planner. For the past four years, Ashley taught 4th grade in Charlotte, NC and was named to the Meck Ed top 20 teachers in the Charlotte Mecklenburg schools last year.

At Malone, Ashley was on the Pioneer volleyball team and Jarrod was on the Pioneer Men's basketball team.

Chris Ramsburg '78

Chris Ramsburg '78 is President at Ramsburg Insurance & Financial Services. He is a leader and trusted advisor who has served as president of the Akron/Canton Chapter of the Society of CPCU and the Independent Insurance Association of Stark County. He also actively participated on several advisory councils for various insurance companies.

Here is his advice and he speaks from experience. Chris is a visionary and respected community leader as well serving as a past board member for organizations such as Christian Business Charities, Lake Center Christian School, Lake Township Chamber of Commerce, Hartville Jaycees, Hartville Lions,and the United Bank Lake Township Community Advisory Board.

This spring, Chris and his brother, Tim Ramsburg '81, were honored with the Community Impact Award at the Lake Chamber of Commerce Annual Leadership Awards dinner.

Lydia Carmany '10

Lydia Carmany is the Development and Marketing Coordinator at Communities In Schools of Los Angeles, which provides at-risk public school students with adult mentors, and connects them to community organizations that help them to stay in school and achieve in life. With prior nonprofit development experience in Ohio, New Jersey, and Santa Monica, she also has a background as a creative writing teacher and theater production assistant. Lydia graduated with a B.A. in liberal arts from Malone. She hopes to further her reach in educational nonprofit and to connect good people with worthy causes in Los Angeles and beyond. Lydia is married to Aaron Ensweiler, a film executive, and has a little dog named Harvey.
