Tina's story: I didn’t choose Malone. God did. My family had just moved to Ohio from Illinois due to my Dad’s cancer. As a junior transfer student, I visited Malone only because it was a 45 minute drive to my folks. But instantly, I felt at home. I had some awesome professors (Burley Smith and Alvin Anderson to name just 2), participated in Dr. Lair’s magnificent NYC trip during December break, and was even crowned Homecoming Queen while Russ Taft (look him up!) sang at my coronation.
The best thing? God used my Malone experience to lead me closer to Him! He put wonderful people along my path. After graduation, I worked a year in the Malone Admissions Office. My Dad died during that time and the love and support I felt from my Malone family is as fresh in my heart as yesterday.Today, that heart is yearning to share my faith with others through writing, speaking, and blogging. And, I know that my Malone experience has prepared me for this new venture because I didn’t choose it. God did!

...working for Ryan Laux (and Mike Land '07 before him) was just as important to my Malone experience. The knowledge and experience I gained in those opportunities as a student worker gave me the expertise to advance quickly in my field.
Lastly, Malone gave me the opportunity to build a solid spiritual foundation in my studies. I actually think this has been the most important aspect of my whole college career, because now that all the activities, classes, and the "college experience" are over, what still sticks out to me is the Christian foundation that everything was built on. My professors, especially Dr. Moroney, were incredible in helping me to cultivate a solid foundation for my faith."
