Matthew Strayer ’08 is an associate attorney at Goldman & Braunstein, LLP in Columbus. Matt joined the firm to fight for the rights of landowners. Matt graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in communication arts from Malone. Prior to Goldman & Braunstein, Matt practiced in all aspects of commercial litigation at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, LLP where his experience included banking and finance, intellectual property, and ERISA defense.

In law school, Matt served on the managerial board of the Ohio State Law Journal and earned individual runner-up honors at the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition in New York City.

Matt began his career as a Sports Writer at the Times-Gazette in Ashland, Ohio, where he earned the distinction of the state’s top sports writer in 2009 among newspapers of similar size.
