  Retired from full-time academic teaching May, 2019 from Wright State University-Lake Campus (Celina, OH).   She taught undergraduate communication and religion classes. After leaving Malone she earned a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary (OH) and a Ph.D. in Interpersonal & Public Communication from Bowling Green State University (OH).   She also taught at Bluffton College (OH), Owens Community College (Findlay, OH) and for 15 years in the MBA program for Heidelberg University (Tiffin, OH). In addition she served 25 years as a United Methodist (West Ohio Conference) minister until she left the UMC for full-time academic teaching. Her current ordination is through an independent source which enables her to continue to officiate weddings in Ohio.

  In summer 2021, Kim Wise `17 was admitted to the Global Field Program at Miami University. As part of Kim's first Earth Expeditions course, Kim traveled to Baja Mexico and studied desert and marine landscapes through ecological and social field methods.
