Sharon Showman `75

 

Retired from full-time academic teaching May, 2019 from Wright State University-Lake Campus (Celina, OH).  She taught undergraduate communication and religion classes. After leaving Malone she earned a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary (OH) and a Ph.D. in Interpersonal & Public Communication from Bowling Green State University (OH).  She also taught at Bluffton College (OH), Owens Community College (Findlay, OH) and for 15 years in the MBA program for Heidelberg University (Tiffin, OH). In addition she served 25 years as a United Methodist (West Ohio Conference) minister until she left the UMC for full-time academic teaching. Her current ordination is through an independent source which enables her to continue to officiate weddings in Ohio.
