Rod Neuenschwander '99, president of the Ruhlin Group, has been named Chair of the Malone University Board of Trustees. Neuenschwander was elected to a three-year term and has spent the past six years as vice chair of the board and chair of the Finance Committee. He oversees and directs the strategic objectives of the North Canton-based Ruhlin Group. An expert in business turnarounds, he serves as the company’s lead consultant. Prior to his appointment to the Malone board, he served his alma mater as a president of the Young Alumni Board and a member of the Alumni Executive Board. During his time at Malone as a student, he was senior class president. Neuenschwander and his wife, Liz '99 (Bradshaw), have three children.

Erik Hanson '14 is a licensed pastor in the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination serving as the Pastor of Technical Arts at Grace Church in Middleburg Heights. He joined the team in 2014. Previously, Erik worked as a web designer, producer, musician, and multimedia engineer in the NE Ohio region.
Erik, a Music Production grad, programs and maintains the audio, video, and lighting systems, trains and oversees tech volunteers, and oversees production of sermon video and DVD replication.

Diedre Haupt '14 completed a term as a missionary working with the EFCA ReachGlobal in Germany. Her focus is anti-human trafficking and equipping the church to take it's role in prevention, intervention, and after-care. She writes, "I was previously in Berlin for 3 years as a short term missionary, where I fell in love with the city, but also learned of the huge need...Less than 2% of people in Berlin have a relationship with God and Germany has become the number one destination for trafficking according to the United Nations. Berlin alone has over 600 Brothels and countless other women who are working on the streets. But even with the darkness that exists, being there, you can feel that God has something big planned for Berlin."

Roscoe Blackburn '18 was one of three starting pitchers to be named First Team All-Midwest Region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and is now eligible for All-American consideration. Blackburn, a native of Worthington, OH, finished with a 9-2 record, a 2.77 ERA, and 74 strikeouts over 12 starts on the season.

Erika (Kurre) Nash '03 received a Regional Edward R. Murrow award - perhaps the highest honor you can ever receive as a broadcaster. It recognizes excellence and integrity in journalism that reflects that of the late Edward R. Murrow. The honor is due to a newscast she field anchored about the Antioch church shooting outside of Nashville in September 2017. A gunman opened fire inside killing one woman and injuring several others on Sunday morning in Nashville's first mass shooting.
